The art of business development

Super RobI have been a Business Development Executive at Foundation for nearly two months now, so I suppose I am ‘officially trained’. This post didn’t exist before I started, which means I didn’t exactly have a defined job role or procedure. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing; there’s nothing worse than starting in a role where you are replacing a member of staff and end up being constantly compared, especially for someone like me who is fresh out of university with no real experience in the big wide world of work. The hardest part of starting this job has been learning and understanding what ‘business development’ actually is, so this is my interpretation so far. Continue reading


A look back at July

The holiday season is upon us. Whilst most people start to wind down ready for their exotic holidays, dreaming of soaking up the summer sun on golden sands with a cocktail in their hand, life at Foundation seems to get busier!

Rob and NickAfter months of recruiting, we finally found two great candidates for our Business Development Executive roles. Rob and Nick joined us fresh out of university and both have ambitions for great things. Their first few weeks have been quite intense, with a heavy training schedule to get them up-to-speed on Foundation IT, our customers, and the Dell portfolio. Both guys have fit into the team quickly and have a really important role to play at Foundation, helping to support our sales and marketing efforts. They’ll also be spending three days a week in Dell’s Demand Generation Team so it’ll help to further cement our great relationship with Dell.
